Ft. Lauderdale May 22, 2016

What A Great Experience!

I had the opportunity to intern through longevity for this bridal show. Ft. Lauderdale gave us such a warm welcome. We had outstanding brides, amazing vendors and two days of FUN!

The Day Before Show Starts (AKA Behind the Scenes).

The day before the show starts, David Tutera’s staff meets all the interns and other students that have been chosen for the day. We get to network with the staff and find out the positions that each one will be working. After the meet and greet is over, David Tutera gives an encouraging power talk. David is a real cool guy. He has a lot of wisdom in the wedding industry.

Then it’s on to the working. The set-up begins; bottles upon bottles of nail polish base have to be filled for the Nail Polish Bar. That’s where the bride or her bridal party can make their own nail polish color. Then there is the Ring Selfie Station. That station has all kinds of cool items that you can show off your ring with and take pictures.

But the most important item of all are the VIP BAGS!  Yes, those bags are the hottest items of the show. The bags have lots of goodies from different vendors and sponsors within the show.

SHOW DAY!

What makes this bridal show so different than other shows? Well, you get to Meet Preston Bailey!  (He is an AWESOME GUY! ) Then you get photo opportunities with David Tutera. Who’d want to miss that?

The show is filled with so many activities and the vendors get to spend one on one time with the brides. Just to show you what’s included in the show, Here is the lineup.

The VIP Experience

  • VIP badge & swag bag

  • VIP Prizes

  • Photo with David Tutera And Preston Bailey (he was the guest speaker at this show)

  • Reserved seating at the fashion show.

  • Photo’s with the South Florida Firefighters. There were some cute ones that modeled. If you weren’t there, you missed a great show.

The Tips & Trend Stage

The stage had a lot of wonderful speakers talking about wedding budget and planning tips. And of course, there were tips for the Honeymoon. So are you thinking to yourself right now, what’s left? Well, there still more to do. You still have the Sweet Heart Table Designs and Floral Designs to see. Then you still need to meet Vendors.

The Most Important Part

The Fashion Show,  where David Tutera talks about Fashion and also about what is trending in the year. You will see runway looks and special guest models.

Overall this show has got a little something for everyone. If you’ve been before, tell us about your experience in the comments. If you haven’t, you must go!

How To Choose The Best Color Palette

5 Tips Brides Need For Choosing A Wedding Palette

There are two main types of colors one is Cool and the other is Warm. Cool colors are made up of blues, purples, and green. While warm colors consist of reds, oranges, and yellows.
Take a look at your wedding colors now….. is your main color warm or cool? How about your accent color? How about the season you have choose?

Here Are Your Tips

  • Thinking You Have To Have A Set Color: Wrong, your don’t necessary need to have a set color, you may want to use natural linens and wild flowers
  • Selecting To Many Colors: I know it’s tough to narrow down colors, we all enjoy them. But try to keep your palette to about 35 colors. This will keep a nice balance
  • Forgetting About Classic White: Whites and Creams are always in style. Once you add a touch of light pink or lights of blues and greens you still have an elegant look. I promise, it won’t be boring either.
  • Too Many Patterens: Patterns are fun, don’t get me wrong. But when mixing too many, your wedding will look very busy and overdone. Be sure to balance smaller patterns with larger ones. Keep it simple
  • Ignoring Your Venue Colors: Before picking out colors and style keep your venue in mind. You don’t want to culturecalash. So try using the vibes from the venue.

  Remember:

           Keep it in the Season
